Life-changing equipment for the Kids of Macarthur
Throughout 2019 Leumeah Hotel took the Publinc Communities program for a test drive. The program, as it is today, was designed to help locals’ good times at the pub count towards meaningful impacts in their local community. With the help of their staff and locals, the Hotel embraced their commitment to being “proudly local”, welcomed it with their open arms and donated over $5,700 to the Kids of Macarthur.
The members Community Points pledged were converted to much-needed cash, helping the foundation purchase P-Pod Seating Systems for children with inabilities of supporting themselves in a seated position. The P-Pod Seating System, made up of a beanbag base, a moulded liner and quilted cover, is a life changing piece of equipment for many children and their families. It works by safely moulding to the child’s body and providing accurate postural support, which in turn allows them to interact with ease and live a happy and fulfilled life.
The Leumeah Hotel team and their pub community are proud to continue supporting the Kids of Macarthur through Publinc Communities.
We are overjoyed to assist the Kids of Macarthur Foundation in purchasing the most technologically paediatric medical equipment available, to enhance the level of health care offered in our local community.
