Community pledges help Sunnyfield Disability Services

Our incredible Publinc Communities family pledged a total of $29,311.24 to Sunnyfield Hubs across Sydney from 11 of our local Hotels. The team at Sunnyfield Disability Services were able to put these much-needed funds towards a Tovertafel, often referred to as a ‘Magic Table’ for their Guildford Hub.

A Magic Table is an assistive technology that utilises an interactive projector and light sensor to create a range of interactive games suitable for people of all abilities, assisting to activate, relax, or help those experiencing challenging behaviours.

It was an incredible opportunity for our team to meet the people at Sunnyfield Disability Services and see firsthand the difference that that the funding from Publinc Communities makes in their lives, and the lives of their loved ones and community.
— Ryan Hayes, Venue Manager

In addition, the Bexley Hub were able to purchase new furniture and fund a series of cultural workshops about Indigenous culture to help their clients engage, learn, and appreciate their stories.

Khoi Le, Venue Manager at Revesby Pacific Hotel and his team were humbled by their time spent with the clients and team at the Bexley hub.

The new furniture and workshops that they’re able to fund thanks to the Publinc Communities family will allow the clients to be engaged and feel more welcome during their visits. We’re so happy that we were able to play a small part in the Sunnyfield journey.
— Khoi Le, Venue Manager

The entire Publinc Communities team is proud to continue supporting Sunnyfield Disability Services across Sydney to help shine a light on their incredible initiatives to create thriving local communities.
